The Ascendence of the Descending

Howdy y'all!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine consisted of finally ridding myself of the flu I've had recently, watching How to Train Your Dragon 2 at the cinema (spoilers - it was frikkin amazing and I almost shed a tear :S) and finishing off the lettering and InDesign work on my good buddy Shaun Dobie's comic Descending Outlands.

Word came through today that its been sent off to the printer. Its been a pleasure to be part of this project and I'm excited to see how the final copy it turns out.

I mean... check out this awesome panel! How can you NOT want to see the rest of it?!

Heres the synopsis for your eyeballs...

That was the phrase that Nate Avery and the crew of rogues aboard his spaceship, the Roger Young, lived by. A deadly pack of mercenaries with unparalleled skills in espionage, thievery and skullduggery, no job was too big or too dangerous.

Or so they thought.

Their latest heist brings them more trouble than they ever could have imagined. When they get their hands on an unstable cargo of immense power that the corporate entity known a 'The Fountain' wants to get back at all costs, they find themselves on the run, fighting for their lives and embroiled in an adventure that could bring about the end of all existence as they know it.

Running for their lives and with the fate of the galaxy in the balance, they will have to reluctantly hide out in the only place that is out of the reach of the Fountain. A place that only thieves, opportunists and assassins dare to call home.

…the Outlands.

It's launching at Melksham Comic Con this year, so if you're going to that, be sure to pass by, say hi and pick up a copy and get in on the start of this action packed sci-fi epic.

Plus I'm sharing a table with him, so you can drop by and say hello to me too (go on... I'll be your best friend :D).

Now that this issue is out the door, I'm going to hitting the drawing board hard to continue the artwork for issue 2 of The Red Mask, which is so action packed my brain may explode from drawing some of these panels.

If you haven't yet, drop by and pick up your copy of the first issue (in print or digital), which has meteors, giant goo beasts and someone hitting something with a hammer. HUZZAH!!

Until next time true/goo/shoe believers!
